Austin, MN, on April 18, 1957, the son of Bob and Bonnie (Meuwissen) Bullock. He married Patty Hennes on April 25, 1987, in Shakopee.

Terry is survived by his wife, Patty; sons, Brandon and Maxwell (Brittany) and soon to be 1st grandchild; brothers, Randy (Lori), Tom (Donna), Scott and Todd; and other relatives. Terry was preceded in death by his son, Tanner; parents, Bob and Bonnie Bullock; and brother, Dale.

Terry met the love of his life, Patty, while the two were working together, and together they began their family in Cologne, Minnesota. He deeply valued the time spent with his friends and family, his passion for the outdoors, and his love for sweets. Upon returning home to Shakopee, he reconnected with lifelong friends and formed many new friendships. Their time together was filled with building a deer stand, Thursday night card games, time in the man cave, and countless camping adventures.

Terry’s love for family and the outdoors was inseparable. From a young age, his family hunting traditions began with his parents and brothers in Crow Wing County, Minnesota. Years later, his dream came true when he and Patty purchased hunting property just down the road. From that moment on, he cherished every memory made there and never passed up the chance to share a good story—it was, after all, the perfect place to tell them. If it had been up to Terry, he would have lived there; to him, it was far more than just hunting property. He ensured these values and traditions were instilled in his three sons. May these stories and memories be forever cherished.

Terry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Though his presence is gone, the memories shared will live on forever in our hearts.

Visitation Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 4-8 PM at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. East, Shakopee. Visitation also Friday, November 7, from 9:30-10:45 AM, at the Parish of Saints Joachim and Anne, Church of St. Mark, 350 Atwood Street South, Shakopee; followed by a Catholic Funeral Prayer Service at 11 AM. Interment Catholic Cemetery, Shakopee. Luncheon will be held at Marystown Catholic Church Social Hall, 15850 Marystown Rd, Marystown.

<a Raines, age 62, of Shakopee, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center.

Born on September 21, 1963, in Shakopee, Sharon was the beloved daughter of William and Beatrice “Bea” (Hennen) Simon. She was a proud graduate of Shakopee High School and spent much of her life serving her community—first through 18 dedicated years with Shakopee Public Utilities, and more recently as a trusted bus driver for Palmer Bus Service.

Sharon was a lifelong sports enthusiast—both as a player and a fan. She especially loved playing basketball and softball, and rarely missed a chance to cheer on her family from the sidelines, particularly during hockey season. Sundays were often reserved for NFL football, and she remained a loyal Minnesota Vikings supporter through every season.

Outside of sports, Sharon found joy in the simple pleasures of life—baking treats for loved ones, tending to her garden, and enjoying long conversations on the deck with friends. She was blessed with a tight-knit circle of companions, especially her cherished “Bingo Ladies,” who brought laughter and support into her life.

Above all, Sharon’s greatest joy came from her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart and brought endless pride and love into her life.

Sharon is lovingly remembered by her husband, Tim; her children, Jason (Rachele), Josh, and Joey Young, and Samantha (Seth) Johnson; and her adored grandchildren: Gavyn, Kinley, McKenna, Landon, Angel, Legend, Onyx, Easton, London, Charlie, and Waverley. She is also survived by her brothers, Denny (Melanie) and Joe (Lisa) Simon; sister-in-law, Mary Simon; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bea Simon; her brothers, Chuck and Dave Simon; and her nephew, Justin Simon.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Thursday, October 16, from 4:00–7:00 PM at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Avenue East, Shakopee, MN. A private family interment will take place at Catholic Cemetery, Shakopee.

Sharon’s vibrant spirit, loyal heart, and love for her family and community will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Visit the McNearney-Schmidt obituary page.

Obituary and photo submitted by McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation.

Share

Leon J. Hartman, beloved husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa, passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

Born on September 25, 1939, to Lawrence and Margaret Hartman, Leon was the youngest of eleven children. He grew up in St. Benedict, MN. He proudly played in the DRS baseball league with the St. Benedict Saints. In 1957, he entered the U.S. Army Reserve Infantry which included active duty.

On July 24, 1965, Leon married Bernadette (Deutsch). Together they built a beautiful life in Shakopee, MN, raising their three children-Corinna (Paul) Benz, Kimberly Evans, and Steve (Katie) Hartman. Leon was a graduate of New Prague High School and Dunwoody Institute. He worked faithfully for 40+ years in the mold shop at Midland/Anchor Glass Container Corporation. Even after retirement, Leon never slowed down, working for the City of Shakopee and later at Ridges Golf Course. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Shakopee Lions Club.

Leon was an outdoorsman at heart, always eager for hunting and fishing trips to the cabin up north. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, golfing in a league at Dahlgren Golf Course, and woodworking in his shed. His favorite saying was, "When I get some time," which his family knew meant he was already working on it. Leon was known for always being early, always showing up, and never missing his kids' or grandkids' sporting events.

He loved coffee and donuts with his friends downtown, had a sweet tooth for anything lemon or his favorite sour cream raisin pie, and spent countless Thursdays "garage sale-ing" just for fun. Leon lived life to the fullest, finding joy in simple pleasures and treasured moments with those he loved most.

Leon is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Margaret (Stang) Hartman; brothers, Werner and Cyril Hartman; sisters, Dee Hartman, Armella (Elroy) Mladek, Rose (Cal) Brown, Jule (Butch) Franke, Ann (Ev) Walter, Cyrilla (Richard) Pint, Cele (Frank) Pekarna; brother in law, Donald Hilgers; parents in law, Edmund and Josephine Deutsch.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Berdie; children, Corinna (Paul) Benz, Kimberly Evans, and Steve (Katie) Hartman; grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Benz, Justin Evans, Ayla and Bryn Hartman; great-grandchildren, Mara and Juri Evans-Pannier; brother, Roger (Janice) Hartman; sisters in law, Phyllis Hartman, Marlene Hartman, and Mary Lou Hilgers; brother in law and sister in law, Joe (Edie) Deutsch and Rita (Louis) Steinhoff.

Leon will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, Shakopee, Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 4-7 PM, concluding with a KC Rosary beginning at 7 PM. In August 1977, he married Patricia Kulik, and together they were blessed with three children: William, Katherine, and Matthew Wormer. In 1984, the family relocated to a farm in New Prague, MN and subsequently moved to a larger farm in Prairie Farm, WI, in 1993. Doug retired from farming after ten years and moved to Turtle Lake, WI, where he briefly worked as a security officer at Turtle Lake Casino and as a realtor with Century 21 in St. Croix Falls, WI.

Doug enjoyed hunting and fishing activities with his children as well as attending high school football games to watch his sons play; balancing these pursuits with his obligations on the farm. He cherished his evenings playing cards with friends and remained a faithful Vikings fan despite living in Packer Country. Doug took pleasure in driving around the area with visitors, often showcasing local farms. A devout Lutheran, he upheld his faith throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends. We find solace in knowing that God called one of his weary farmers back home to rest.

Doug is survived by his siblings: Char (Tom) Voigt, Connie (David) Dillon, Dan (Linda) Wormer, Debbie Wormer, and Wayne Wormer; his children: William (Sara) Wormer (and their children, Rayne and Payton) of Wheeler, WI; Katherine (Josh) DeRosia (and their children, TJay and Tyson) of Solon Springs, WI; and Matthew Wormer of Ridgeland, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wally and Dorothy Wormer and his brother, Barney Wormer.

Our appreciation to Dove Healthcare, Grandstrand Funeral & Cremation, Jordan CERC, Spirit Hill Cemetery, Annie’s Catering, and New Prague Floral for helping us say goodbye.

<p class="button-wrapper" However, on Sunday, July 27th after a perfect day in the Black Hills of riding side-by-sides, a good meal and playing some dice with Solveig and friends, of which he took everyone’s money, Larry died peacefully in his sleep.

Larry was born June 2nd, 1954 to Nubby and Corrine (Kerber) Theis in Shakopee, MN. He attended Shakopee High School where he played varsity wrestling and made it to state! At the same time he was making a name for himself on the Theis tug-of-war team and the local bar arm wrestling circuit! Farming was in Larry’s blood early on so upon graduation he worked on the Theis family dairy farm which he later took over.

Larry has three children and married Solveig (Huseth) Theis, his wife of 33 years. He worked tirelessly to grow the family dairy farm from 1972 - 2005. In 2005, he sold his dairy farm to take on a new adventure in crop farming where he established a farmstead in both LeCenter and Waterville, MN.

Larry enjoyed his family most of all and let them know of it often with his famous hugs that often left you short of breath but you knew he loved you that much! He also enjoyed farming, motorcycling, side-by-siding, meeting new people with a crushing handshake and a cold beer and living life with the throttle wide open. Larry never met a stranger, rather a new friend that he wouldn’t quickly give a nickname that may or may not have been appropriate! When you were with Larry you always felt like you were the most important person. You were always welcome and the door was always open.

Larry is survived by his wife, Solveig; siblings, Sherry Theis, Bruce (Nancy) Theis, Connie (Paul) Doepke, Jesse (Judy) Theis, Cindy (Vern) Pieper, Renee Erickson, Keith (Theresa) Theis; son, Brad Theis (Cara); daughters, Mandy (JB) Randall and Micah (Jeff) Commander. With a heart like his, he also included Erin Baudoin as one of his own. Grandchildren: Keegan, Priya, Sophie, Sulli Commander, Elsie, Gretta, Grace Theis, Declan Randall, Dylan and Jason Baudoin.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Norbert “Nubby” Theis and Corrine (Kerber) Theis; brother, Steven “Hank” Theis; sister, Karen Theis; nephew, Nathan Theis; niece and God daughter, Angel Theis.

A service will be held Friday, August 8, 2025 at Westwood Community Church - Chanhassen Campus located at 3121 Westwood Drive, Excelsior, MN: Visitation at 10:00 AM followed by an 11:00 AM Service.

A celebration reception will follow from 1:00pm - 4:30pm at the Canterbury Park Expo Center located at 1100 Canterbury Road, Shakopee, MN.

The family respectfully requests consideration of donating to either of the following in lieu of gifts:

https://www.thereadingcenter.org/donate

Sheriff’s Youth Project of LeSueur County

435 East Derrynane Street Ste 1100

LeCenter, MN 56057

Visit the McNearney-Schmidt obituary page.

Obituary and photo submitted by McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation.

Share

Marion R. She was known for always having a book, sometimes two or three at hand.

In 1949, Marion married Robert Schmidt, a World War II Navy veteran, at St. Helena’s Catholic Church in South Minneapolis. Together, Marion and Robert, affectionately known as "Bob," established their home in the Lake Nokomis area of Minneapolis, where they raised their four daughters. In 1968, they relocated to rural Shakopee, where they built a home on a ten-acre hobby farm.

Marion was known for her industrious nature. She held positions at General Mills, Sundance Medical Clinic, and later, Scott County Child Support. In addition to her professional endeavors, Marion dedicated 20 years to the Louisville Township Board, frequently serving as its chairperson.

Her commitment to service extended to her community, where she volunteered as an election judge, school aide, Loaves and Fishes volunteer, instructor at Shakopee Women’s Prison, and a long-time volunteer at the Minneapolis International Airport USO Welcome Center.

Marion found joy in baking, gardening, and canning. She possessed a creative spirit, expressed through embroidered dishtowels, knitted and crocheted scarves and afghans, and the creation of plastic mats for the homeless using recycled plastic bags. Her sewing skills were put to use making countless dresses and other garments (inevitably with a forgotten pin to stick the first-time wearer).

Whether traveling or at home, Marion kept her wits sharp. She loved puzzles, crosswords, and word searches.

Marion's home was always open, and her kitchen had a remarkable capacity to accommodate unexpected guests. There was always room at the dinner table for one more.

Marion leaves behind a legacy of grace, resilience, and unwavering love.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters: Judith (Dr. Kenneth) Kuczynski, Annie (Thomas) Schleck, Barbara (Mark) Miller, and Mary (James) Bischoff: Grandchildren Anthony (Crystal) Kuczynski, Kateri (Chad) Lukkes, Susan (Thomas) Trombley; Danielle Miller, Rita (Kurt) Kaufman, Sarah (Rich) Riedel, Emily (Alwin) Bischoff - Bruintjes, Elizabeth (Sam) Rosenbaum, Michael Bischoff; 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Giuditta and Giordano Stocco; brothers Joseph, James, and Gordon Stocco; husband Robert Schmidt, daughter Susan Schmidt; granddaughter Christina Kuczynski; and great-granddaughter Gemma Kaufman.

A special thank you to the residents and staff at Mala Strana. The family is especially grateful to Praha Village Memory Care and Minnesota Hospice who tirelessly supported Marion and her family in her final days.

Marion’s Bio (written by daughter: Mary Bischoff)

Marion Stocco Schmidt July 2, 1930-July 19, 2025

One thing we all agree on, Marion had her quirks. The woman could not hang on to a pair of earrings. We all have at least one story where we noticed she was wearing only one earring, and when pointed out, she’d reach into her purse (up to her elbow) and pull out another pair. When going through her things, we found any number of single earrings. If you have only 1 ear pierced, come see us.

She was rough on stuff: drawers and cupboard doors were slammed, slapped, maybe kicked into submission. Drawer knobs and cupboard door hinges fatigued before their time.

Because she wasn’t much of a planner, she seldom checked to see if she had the ingredients she needed to complete a dish, so she became adept at substituting ingredients, sometimes to great effect. ..other times, not so much. This may be the reason why we seem almost genetically unable to follow a recipe as written.

On the other hand, Marion was positive and warm. She seldom said anything bad about anybody. Even when they deserved it. She laughed easily–those who signed her high school yearbook addressed her as “Bubbles”.

Marion was endlessly curious about everything. At dinner many years ago, the owner of the restaurant came through the dining room, inviting any children who were interested to follow him into the kitchen, to see their new walk-in cooler. Marion jumped up, “I want to see!” and joined the queue.

She was a member of what we call the ‘cult of generosity’. We knew anyone was welcome at her table, taking in those new to town, or the country. Many became lifelong friends. Marion would feed them, and then give them leftovers for the trip home. Wherever home was.

Marion lived absolutely in the moment, which meant she wasn’t much interested in planning ahead, but when she was with you, she was present, you know? She seldom reminisced, and did not dabble in regret.

She was a personality. Quite a character. We love you so much, and miss you already.

Visit the McNearney-Schmidt obituary Hospital in Minneapolis, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 89 years old.

Del was born on December 6, 1935, at his family’s farm home in Marsh Grove Township near Newfolden, Minnesota, to Helmer and Amy Lind. Remarkably, he passed on the anniversary of his baptism—June 18, 1936—at Bethesda Lutheran Church, a place that marked the beginning of his lifelong journey of faith.

Del lived a life defined by purpose, service, and love. He grew up with a deep connection to the land, his family, and his community. He attended Fairview Elementary, a one-room country school, and graduated from Newfolden High School in 1953. His youth was filled with the joys of farm life, 4-H, sports, and fishing. As a senior, he served as president of the Christian Fellowship Club, bringing together young people from across neighboring towns—a sign of the pastoral calling that would guide his life.

After high school, Del enrolled at Augsburg College in Minneapolis. On August 27, 1955, he married his high school sweetheart, Margaret “Maggie” Ranum, at Zion Lutheran Church in Viking, Minnesota. Their partnership of nearly 70 years was a testament to enduring love and shared faith in a loving God.

Del graduated from Augsburg in 1960 and went on to Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul. During his pastoral training, he completed an internship at Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron, Nebraska. He was ordained on June 14, 1964, back at Zion Lutheran—the same church where he and Maggie were married.

Throughout his ministry, Del served congregations and communities with humility, grace, and vision. His first call was to Starbuck, Minnesota, followed by Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Chokio, where his ministry was featured in the ALC’s anniversary film, Hope For All Seasons. He later became Associate Director of CENCOAD (Center for Community Organization and Area Development) at Augustana College in Sioux Falls. The center was created to search out how the church might relate and address problems and needs of rural areas in the 1970’s.

Del continued to pursue knowledge and growth, earning his Doctor of Ministry degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in 1979. He then served as Executive Director of the South Dakota Council of Churches, where he worked across denominational lines to foster unity and understanding.

In 1981, Del became pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie. A few years later, he fulfilled a long-held dream by founding a new mission congregation. That dream became Family of Christ Lutheran Church in Lakeville, Minnesota, where he served until his retirement in 1997.

After retiring, Del and Maggie enjoyed life together in Richfield, Savage, and finally Prior Lake, where their home was always a place of welcome, laughter, and love.

Del’s life was deeply shaped by his faith. He often spoke of God’s patient guidance throughout his journey—and he lived that faith knowing that Jesus was his friend and a friend to all people.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; and their three children: Cheri (Craig) Sorum, Timothy (Wendy) Lind, and Kristi (Karl Bohn). He leaves behind a legacy of love in his grandchildren: Matthew (Sarah) Sorum, Heidi (Jeffrey) Girod, Tony (Aimee) Lind, Jared (Nora) Lind, Ryan (Kasey) Olson, Ben (Kiera) Olson, and Sarah Olson. He was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren: Aiden, Alexander, and Stella Girod; Hailey and Anna Lind; Emily Sorum; and Myla and Tessa Olson.

Del is preceded in death by his parents, Helmer and Amy Lind; his siblings Donna Mae (Lowell) Hogberg, Yvonne Ristau, and Harley Lind; his son-in-law Dean Olson, daughter-in-law Kathy Lind; and in-laws Alfred and Clara Ranum.

Del’s life was a gift to all who knew him. His faith, wisdom, and warmth touched many, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those he served.

Visitation Monday, July 7, 2025, from 10-11 AM, followed by Funeral Service at 11 AM, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 8400 France Avenue South, Bloomington, MN.
