On a chilly Thanksgiving morning, the Jordan Food Shelf Turkey Trot celebrated its sixth year of bringing the community together for fitness, fun, and philanthropy. The event, held at The Ridges at Sand Creek golf course, drew runners and walkers eager to tackle the 5K course and support the Jordan Area Food Shelf.
With temperatures hovering at 20 degrees under cloudy skies, participants bundled up to brave the brisk weather in the spirit of giving. Each family received a Thanksgiving pie to bring home, while post-race snacks, coffee, and hot chocolate warmed both hands and hearts.
Now in its sixth year, the Turkey Trot has become a cherished holiday tradition in Jordan, with proceeds benefiting local families in need. The event continues to highlight the community’s generosity while kicking off the holiday season with gratitude and togetherness.
