Absentee Voting Opens September 20th
Absentee voting for the 2024 election begins on Friday, September 20th. Absentee voting can be done by mail or in person.
All Scott County voters may vote absentee at Scott County Public Works located at 600 Country Trail E, Jordan.
Residents living in city limits can vote at city hall. Voters who live in a township can vote absentee at the Public Works location. Jackson and Louisville township voters also have the option to vote absentee at Shakopee City Hall. Spring Lake township voters can vote absentee at Prior Lake city hall or Scott County Public Works.
Absentee voting hours for each voting location can be found here.
If you would like to vote by mail more information can be found on the Scott County absentee voting page.
Since 2014, no excuse absentee voting has been available to all Minnesota voters, meaning you do not need to give a reason for casting an absentee ballot. Beginning June 1, 2024, you can sign up once to be automatically sent an absentee ballot before every election. More information on this and other changes can be found here.
