Jordan Police have announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with a May 4 shooting that left a man critically injured in Lagoon Park.
According to police, David Jeremiah Michael Scott, 20, and Chauncey Chad Oothoudt, 19, were taken into custody on Thursday, May 8 following the execution of search warrants at two residences in Bemidji, Minnesota. The men are awaiting formal charges from the Scott County Attorney’s Office.
The shooting occurred around 6:20 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Lagoon Park. Officers arrived to find an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds; the victim was transported to the hospital. The suspects had fled the scene in a vehicle before police arrived.
The Jordan Police Department worked closely with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and several northern Minnesota agencies on the investigation and arrests. The investigation remains ongoing.
