The Jordan Police Department has identified the woman found dead last week in an abandoned property and confirmed that her death was a homicide.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as 46-year-old Tabitha Renee Justice and determined her cause of death to be a gunshot wound to the head.
Officers discovered Justice’s body on January 28 inside an abandoned building at 230 Quaker Avenue after receiving a report of a missing woman that afternoon. The Jordan Police Department and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are actively investigating the case.
The Jordan Police confirmed that based on the investigation to this point, they do not believe there is a heightened threat to the general public.
Authorities have not released additional details but are urging anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously through the “Jordan Tips” smartphone app, available in the Google Play and Apple app stores.
