Betsy A. Suel
September 21, 1957 - February 16, 2025
Elizabeth "Betsy" A. Suel, age 67 of Shakopee, MN passed away peacefully at her home on February 16, 2025. Betsy was born on September 21, 1957 in Shakopee, MN, the daughter of Cormac and Harriet (Jacobson) Suel.
Betsy grew up, went to school and worked in Shakopee, graduating from Shakopee High School in 1976. After high school she worked at Anchor Glass for 42 years, retiring in March of 2020. Betsy had a strong work ethic and finished her career as an inspector. She also participated on a women's bowling team for many years, and had bowled at the state tournament several times. She enjoyed bingo, traveling, reading - especially Stephen King novels, and doing different types of puzzles with her favorite being cryptoquips. Betsy was a diehard Minnesota sports fan and loved cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins. She always enjoyed getting together with family and friends celebrating birthdays and holidays.
Betsy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thomas; nephew, Jacob; and sister-in-law, Cindy Suel. She will be missed by her siblings, Art Suel, Kevin (Debbie) Suel, Peggy (Mike) Hullander, Mike (Chris) Suel and Kathy (Jon) Olson; nieces and nephews, Benjamin Hullander, Erin (Josh) Threlkeld, Matthew Hullander, Andrew (Carly) Suel, Nicholas Suel, Emily Olson and Nathan Olson; and 3 great-nieces.
Visitation Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 4-7 PM, at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. East, Shakopee, MN, 952-445-2755. Visitation also Friday, February 28, from 10-10:45 AM, at Church of St. Mary, 535 Lewis St. South, Shakopee; followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment Credit River Catholic Cemetery.
