On November 5th, Jordan residents will cast their votes at one of two precincts located at the Jordan Community Education and Recreation Center (CERC) at 500 Sunset Drive. Voting hours on election day are 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. If you are in line to register or to vote at closing you will be allowed to vote (per MN statute 204C.05, subd. 2)
The precinct boundaries have been updated, with Precinct 1 covering areas south of TH 282 and west of TH 21, and Precinct 2 covering areas north of TH 282 and east of TH 21.
Some housing developments within these precincts include:
Precinct 1: Arborview, Bridle Creek, River Ridge, Stonebridge, Sunset Bluffs
Precinct 2: Timberline, Wexford Square, Valley Green Park, Sawmill Woods, Bluffs at Cedar Ridge, Heritage Hills
If you live outside of the City of Jordan, you can locate your polling place and precinct online via the Secretary of State’s precinct location system.
You can register to vote online or download a paper form to mail-in by visiting the MN Secretary of State website. The paper form can also be picked up at the Scott County Government Center or at Scott County Libraries. In addition to mail, the paper form can be dropped off at the Scott County Government Center at 200 Fourth Avenue West in Shakopee.
You will need to pre-register at least 20 days before election day to appear on the polling place roster. If you are not able to pre-register, you can register on election day at your polling place. Requirements for election day registration can be found on the Scott County voter registration page.
