The Hubmen entertained the home crowd with two wins last week. Jordan defeated St. Peter 83-71 and dominated Hutchinson 93-57. With the wins, Jordan’s record is 11-2, 1-0 in the Wright County Conference - East Division.
Jordan 83, St. Peter 71
On Tuesday, it was a back-and-forth first half for Jordan and St. Peter. The Hubmen jumped out 10-5, and the Saints countered with a series of three pointers to take an 18-17 lead. The game was tied at 21 until Lexyn Grof connected on a three-pointer and converted a steal into a layup for the Hubmen to go up five and take a 26-21 lead. Both teams had mini scoring runs and went into halftime with the score tied at 40.
The second half saw Jordan maintain its lead from 46-45 to 51-45 to 57-54. While St. Peter went cold on offense, the Jordan shooters started to heat up. A 12-0 Hubmen run began when Mitchell Schmidt converted a three-point play. Jacob Conrady connected on a three-pointer. Brayden Davis made all three of his free throws after being fouled. Lexyn Grof swished a three-pointer. The Hubmen lead grew to 69-54. Despite a St. Peter run to cut the Hubmen lead to eight, Jordan held on for a 83-71 victory.
Four Hubmen players scored in double digits. Lexyn Grof led Jordan with 26 points and six rebounds. Brayden Davis added 17 points including a crowd inspiring dunk. Mitchell Schmidt had an impressive all-around game with 13 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Jacob Conrady scored 13 points.
Jordan 93, Hutchinson 57
On Friday night, Jordan dominated Hutchinson from start to finish. Jordan’s press caused many issues for the Tigers. The Hubmen led 14-3 and blew the game open 32-11 with 6:27 left in the first half. Over the next four minutes, Jordan went on a 20-9 run to extend the lead to 52-20. The Hubmen led 56-25 at the half.
The Jordan offense continued to roll in the second half. Consecutive three-pointers by Lexyn Grof, Noah Robinson, and Mitchell Schmidt solidified the win. With Jordan ahead by more than 35 points, a running clock was used in the final nine minutes of play. Jordan was able to get all their players into the game. The final score was 93-57.

Jordan hosts conference foe Southwest Christian on Friday night. It is a double header with the girls’ basketball team. The Hubmen play at 5:30 pm, and the Jaguars tip off at 7 pm.
