Friday night’s frigid cold air followed fans right into the gym. Both Jordan and Southwest Christian experienced cold shooting throughout the night. The Stars were able to connect on a few more baskets to defeat the Hubmen, 61-47.

Both teams had many opportunities to score but were unable to get the ball to drop through the hoop. At 13:40, Southwest Christian scored the first points of the game. The Hubmen’s first four points came from the free-throw line. The Stars extended their lead to 14-8 before Brayden Davis stole the ball and threw down a two-handed dunk. The Hubmen closed the gap to five, 17-22, only to see Southwest Christian end the half on an 11-2 run to lead 33-19 at the break.
Jordan found itself down 39-19 a few minutes into the second half. The Hubmen were able to cut the lead to 14 but could not get any closer. For the game, Jordan shot 30% (17 of 56), while Southwest Christian shot 38% (23 of 60). The Stars also had 43 rebounds and 16 assists, compared to Jordan’s 32 rebounds and five assists.
