The Jaguar girls’ basketball team has had to dig deep lately. Injuries and illnesses have taken their toll on the team. Despite these challenges, they have won four of their last six games. Jordan has picked up wins over Watertown-Mayer (69-66), St. Peter (83-63), Hutchinson (72-46), and Mankato East (72-46). Their losses have been to Delano (87-64) and Minnehaha Academy (77-55).
According to the most recent Minnesota Basketball News, Jordan is 9-5 and ranked No. 10 in Class 2A. Starting today, the Jags will play five games in eight days—all of them at home. In addition, three of their opponents are state-ranked. The competition includes No. 8 in Class 3A, Mahtomedi; No. 1 in Class 2A, Providence Academy; and No. 9 in Class 3A, Delano.
