Maria A. Stay

Maria A. Stay, age 96, of Shakopee, MN, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Shakopee.
Maria was born on February 17, 1928, in Shakopee, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Oldenburg) Duede. She married Carl Stay on August 5, 1972, in St. Paul, MN. She had been employed by the MN Masonic Home, West Publishing, and the St. Paul House.
She liked taking care of her house plants, cross stitching, playing cards, and when she was younger she enjoyed drawing.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; son, Randy Ostermann; parents, Herman and Anna Duede; and 2 brothers, Fred and Bob Duede. She is survived by her son, Gary Ostermann (Colette Sistad); grandchildren, Casi and Dylan Ostermann; 4 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 119 8th Ave. W., Shakopee, with visitation from 10-10:45 AM, followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment Valley Cemetery, Shakopee.
