Scott County Fair Kicks Off July 23 — Detour Routes to Know Before You Go
By The Hub News Staff
The Scott County Fair is set to return July 23–27 with all the classic attractions—food, entertainment, animals, exhibits, and fun for the whole family. But if you’re planning to attend, be advised: construction on County Highway 9 and the closure of 190th Street in Jordan will affect travel routes near the fairgrounds.
To help visitors navigate, Scott County has recommended several alternative routes and will place orange “County Fairground” signs with black lettering to guide traffic. Here are your best options depending on your direction of travel:
Traveling South on US 169: Continue past the Jordan signal to the new interchange at Delaware Avenue/County Highway 59.
Traveling north on US 169: Exit at the new Delaware Avenue/County Highway 59 interchange.
From TH 282 into Jordan: Turn left at the Broadway Street signal, travel south to the roundabout, then head west on Old Highway 169 and north on Delaware Avenue.
From Helena Blvd (northbound into Jordan): Turn left at the roundabout onto Old Highway 169, continue west to Delaware Avenue, then north.
From Quaker Avenue/County Highway 9 (southbound into Jordan): Turn right at the US 169 signal and proceed south to the Delaware Avenue interchange.
Whether you’re coming for the tractor pulls, the fair food, or the farm animals, plan ahead so you don’t miss a moment of the fun. For full event details, visit scottcountyfair.org.
