Shakopee Public Schools has announced David Draskovich as its next Director of Finance & Operations, pending School Board approval. Draskovich is set to begin his new role on July 29, 2025, taking over for Bill Menozzi, who will be moving to the private sector in mid-August.
Draskovich currently serves as Director of Finance for Wayzata Public Schools, where he has overseen budget planning, long-range financial forecasting, and tax levy management. He also brings previous experience from Robbinsdale Area Schools in finance and operations.
“Our interview team was very impressed with David’s knowledge, ability to connect and his dedication to building strong teams and working collaboratively. I am confident that David will be able to build on the strong foundation in our district and will lead us to an even better place in the future." said Superintendent Mike Redmond.
Originally from Hibbing, Minnesota, Draskovich shared that Shakopee already feels like home. “My wife's family resides in Shakopee, meaning my family and I are fortunate to spend many weekends enjoying this wonderful community. It's a privilege to join a district so deeply committed to educational excellence” he said.
