The Jordan City Council held its first meeting of the year last night, marking a transition in leadership. Newly elected Mayor Travis Fremming was officially sworn in by outgoing Mayor Mike Franklin, symbolizing the start of a new chapter for the city. Franklin opted to not seek reelection in 2024 after serving one term as mayor.
After assuming office, Mayor Fremming administered the oath of office to the three newly elected councilmembers: Robert Whipps, Jeremiah Monyok, and Jonathan Pho. Whipps and Monyok were reelected to another term, while Pho, a newcomer, secured his first term on council in the November election.
